Absolute Beginners Jive Courses

Our next term starts on the week commencing 21st September 2008

10 Week Absolute Beginners Jive Course - What to expect:
The first night is a Free Trial Night so you can book a space and come along to try it first before committing yourself. On the trial night we start out with the basics of how to stand and how to hold your partner, then teach you some simple moves using step-by-step guidance.

Through the rest of the term you will continue to learn simple jive moves taught at a steady pace by our friendly and helpful teachers. Everyone joining the beginners course is a complete beginner so even if you have two left feet, don't worry! Our teachers are there to help and guide you.

What to wear:
You don't need to dress up for the classes, just wear loose fitting clothes that you are comfortable in. Shoes with high heels are not encouraged for dancing in as you may find it difficult and they may damage the floor. We would recommend shoes with leather soles as these are good for dancing, otherwise a comfortable pair of normal street shoes will be fine.

What to bring:

All you need to bring is: a sensible pair of shoes, bottle of water, a partner (if you can find one!), anyone else you can encourage to come, but most importantly - bring yourself!

September classes:

The September class times are currently being arranged, but they will follow broadly the same pattern as our current term detailed below. Each venue will also have a map to help you find it.

The Beginners course can be just the start of your adventure with us. Intermediates and Intermediates Plus courses continue where the beginners course ends.
