Most new beginners start with a free trial night on our Absolute Beginners 10 week course. We literally begin with how to stand and how to hold your partner. Even if you have two left feet, don't worry! Our teachers will make sure that you enjoy a light-hearted trial session, building your confidence with some simple moves at a steady pace. The group sizes are typically 16 to 30 people. Although it's normally more fun to go with a partner or friend, it's not a problem if you don't. On the night, the teacher will ask everybody without a partner to match up. If you would like to find a partner in advance, you can also make a post on our forum!
The beginners course continues with more fun and easy to learn moves, which will be demonstrated at the end of your first session. Within a few weeks, you will be itching to show off to your friends. Once you can string a few moves together, our Swingeasy practice nights and social dances will soon become a favourite hang-out.
With the beginners course safely under your belt, there are two further intermediate courses and limitless advanced & specials classes to master.
All 10 week courses detailed below are priced at £52 until 4th April, then the prices will go up to £55. New beginners can try before you buy - you can book your place for the free trial by phone or email, and pay at the end of the first night. For all other courses, please book and pay for your places in advance. Please note the important booking information below before booking online.
For those of you who can't commit to a 10 week course, why not try our weekly Swingeasy Drop-In nights. These evenings offer beginners and intermediate classes with lots of practice time. These venues operate a licensed bar and sociable atmosphere. Classes run at a slightly faster pace than the 10 week courses but don't worry, special dance coaches are on hand to help you with the moves. Once you have made payment no refunds are available, however if we cancel a course we will offer the choice of a full refund or an alternative course.
Health and safety: It is your responsibility to inform the teacher of your class if you have any illness, disability or condition which may affect your safety in class.
Class sizes: 30 max per course, places filled on a 1st-come 1st-served basis.
